International Day of Women and Girls in Science

Scientific discovery thrives when talent, curiosity, and opportunity are fully supported. Yet across the world, many women and girls continue to face preventable barriers that limit access to scientific education, research, and innovation pathways. International Day of Women and Girls in Science: Advancing Discovery and Innovation invites students to explore how representation, access, and community support shape who participates in science and how discoveries are made. Using a STEAMS Initiative approach, students design forward-thinking, community-connected solutions, from education pipelines to research access strategies, that reimagine what is possible when discovery is inclusive and innovation reflects the full diversity of human potential.
